Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting on a monthly basis in the P&L closing process and commenting on variances against budget/forecasts.
- Participating in discussions with business units on revenue and costs on a monthly basis.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Assisting in the analysis, design and support in the rollout of key financial processes and systems as well as supporting and enhancing existing processes.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports for various financial projects initiated.
- Analyzing and providing relevant comments to the CFO.
- Preparing brief reports for the CEO and Board of Directors.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic qualifications in accounting, business, finance, taxation or any related field.
- Preferably an MBA or any other relevant advanced degree and/or professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or any equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in a large professional services firm or similar environment.
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax rules, procedures and relevant guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize changing work in a fast-changing industry.
- Communication skills.
- Teamwork skills, ability to collaborate with people from different teams.
Preferably:
- Experience in dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Experience and knowledge of tax compliance, financial reporting and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Good understanding and ability to implement accounting concepts.
- Excellent analytical, managerial and leadership skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
