Job Opportunity as a Senior Laboratory Technician at Al Futtaim in the UAE

Al Futtaim is offering a job opportunity as a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the healthcare team in Dubai, UAE for 2021. 

1. Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and highlight any urgent results as per procedure guidelines.
2. Prepare and process clinical specimens for biomedical testing and maintain clinical records.
3. Utilise a range of IT systems to manage clinical records. 
4. Manage enquiries efficiently, and escalate to the team leader if required.
5. Take responsibility for the disposal of clinical and sensitive samples and chemical waste, including sharps bins.
6. Ensure that all technical standards, policies and procedures are maintained, and escalate any concerns.
7. Maintain professional standards and quality control procedures to ensure safe and efficient practice.
8. Oversee the collection, evaluation and distribution of lab related quality tracking and trending data, and ensure regular communication to laboratory personnel. Continuously monitor applicable lab performance indicators.
9. Aware of Regulatory guidelines (DHA) and guides the laboratory in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
10. Establish and maintain professional standards and quality control procedures to ensure safe and efficient practice

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in medical Laboratory Sciences.
2. Valid DHA license.
3. Valid Basic Life Support Certification.
4. Minimum 5+ years’ experience as Laboratory Technician or in a similar role.
5. Previous experience working with international accreditation i.e. JCIA.
