Opportunity description
Hyatt Hotel offers a job opportunity as a sous chef in the United Arab Emirates. The hotel is located in the Dubai Golf and Yacht Club on the shores of the majestic Dubai Bay. In this position, you will report to the Head Chef, and assist in the general management of the kitchen, consistent with all necessary standards and procedures to ensure the required quality and profitability.
Duties & responsibilities
- You will work in the kitchen and be responsible for food production across the hotel outlets.
- You will be responsible for the kitchen team's supervision, training, and development.
- Using your extensive knowledge of international cuisine and culinary creativity, you will ensure an unforgettable experience for guests.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Existing experience as a junior assistant chef.
- Current experience as a Jr. Sous or Sous Chef, or 2-3 years of experience as Chef De Partie in a 4/5 star hotel (or similar) environment.
- Proven knowledge and experience in all operational and functional aspects of kitchen operations.
- Good knowledge of cuisine, labor, and food costs.
- Proven leadership skills including the ability to foster an open and supportive environment where colleagues can enjoy and take pride in their work and achieve their potential.
- Positive, proactive approach and demonstrated enthusiasm for work.
