Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Resolving and investigating complex technical issues faced by customers, acting as a customer advisor, collaborating within and across teams, and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Share your knowledge through technical readiness programs, training, and mentoring to others.
- Improving products/processes.
- Collaborating with Microsoft engineering/support teams to investigate potential product defects.
- Assisting in the development of automated transformation technologies and diagnostic tools that drive Microsoft product improvements.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Advanced troubleshooting and customer experience with Microsoft operating systems and in some or all of the following areas:
- Troubleshooting non-boot issues.
- Troubleshooting performance issues using Performance Monitor and other tools.
- Troubleshooting unexpected Windows crashes, and reboots.
- Configuring and managing Windows Shell.
- Event logs and auditing.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:
- Memory leaks and resource drains.
- OS internals, performance, and event logs.
- Knowledge of basic debugging skills and Windows Internals.
- Proficient in English writing, reading, and speaking skills.
- Knowledge of French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Screening: You will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Screening upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
