Job Opportunity as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager at Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts in the UAE

Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts is offering a job opportunity as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the team in the United Arab Emirates for 2021.

1. Ensure through effective supervision that all services offered in the Housekeeping Department are always available and are carried out with outmost efficiency and courtesy as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Liaise with the Guest Services/Front Office on anticipated guest check-ins check-outs, room assignment and rooming list, etc…
3. Ensure that all Suites and VIP arrival rooms are checked prior to the arrival of guests for 100% readiness.
4. Ensure that all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulation are strictly enforced by all Housekeeping Colleagues.
5. Conduct regular Housekeeping meetings to keep the team informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
6. Propose ideas and suggest improvements where felt necessary.
7. Prepare monthly training plan with coordination of the Executive Housekeeper.
8. Conducts performance appraisals.
9. Perform any other duties that Management may reasonably require.

1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management.
2. At least two years' experience as an Assistant Manager, or similar role, in a large 5 star hotel. 
3. Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent management and succession planning, and demonstrable achievements in improving customer satisfaction and profitability.
4. Experience of working with and managing multicultural teams, have strong commercial acumen, a good command of English language (spoken and written) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
