Opportunity description

DP World is offering a job opportunity as an Assistant Sales and E-Commerce Manager in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the sales team in accordance with established sales plans, with the goal of maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns and achieving the highest possible results in a scalable, sustainable and predictable manner.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Help create and maintain sales strategy for B2B and B2C platforms.
  • Create, manage and implement sales plans.
  • Analyze and understand user behaviors on B2B and B2C platforms and suggest plans, processes, and methods to recover lost opportunities.
  • Research and identify competitive alternatives to meet specific requirements and customized customer requests received through online or offline communication channels, and work with internal teams and customers to complete sales processes.
  • Work on customer acquisition through direct communication and any other effective methods that may be applicable in different countries in line with set goals and sales plans.
  • Share knowledge and experience with peers in other locations around the world and adopt best practices when needed.
  • Proactively follow up on incomplete sales transactions through direct communication with customers and in alignment with the Customer Experience team.
  • Assist the line manager in all activities related to customer acquisition and achieving online sales and conversion goals.
  • Create necessary reports to track progress, evaluate results and suggest relevant improvements accordingly.
  • Oversee the performance of promotions in line with business goals and objectives and proactively analyze and report on results.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales and sales management methodologies and methods, and submit the necessary report to the line manager.
  • Identify and report customer, product and site issues and work with cross-functional teams to effectively and timely resolve any and all issues and implement preventative solutions.
  • Possess deep knowledge of the markets and industry and assist the line manager in conducting competitor analysis and measuring performance.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field.
  • It's preferred to have a master's degree.
  • 5 years of sales experience, including 2 years in e-commerce sales or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce funnels, online conversion metrics, web analytics and performance management.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Passion for achieving results.
  • Good knowledge and experience in the field of B2C and B2B e-commerce, trade and logistics in general.
  • Innovation, creativity, initiative-taking and problem-solving skills.
  • Skills of working within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
