Deloitte announces a job opportunity as a Senior Artificial Intelligence Consultant at the Innovation Center in Egypt. You will work on a range of initiatives and projects in various sectors. Projects vary greatly and therefore your responsibility as a consultant will vary based on client involvement and your skills. Your role will revolve around developing an AI architecture strategy, supporting customers to design, implement and operate scalable architectures that support the effective execution of AI models. You will play a critical role in designing and delivering innovative architectures that seamlessly integrate AI solutions with existing enterprise systems. You must possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with ease, a strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, and leverage the strengths of others to achieve common goals.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Translating the vision of Deloitte's senior client stakeholders and senior engineers into an actionable AI/ML/GenAI roadmap.
- Collaborate with enterprise, application and data architects, DevOps, data scientists, MLOps and GenAI engineers, and business teams to experiment with different use cases.
- Select appropriate technologies from a range of open source and commercial offerings, taking into account implementation models and integration with existing tools.
- Work closely with security and risk leaders to anticipate and mitigate risks, ensure ethical AI implementation and compliance with various regulations.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements in the design and implementation of AI solutions.
- Managing diverse teams within the overall team culture.
- Develop the capabilities of junior team members through formal “on-the-job” training and development programs.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or equivalent and 7+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
- Background in data science with a good understanding of AI/ML related concepts.
- Experience implementing cloud-based AI/ML workloads across one or more cloud providers or third-party vendor technologies, including Google PaLM, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI Services, AzureML, AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, Dataiku, Databricks, Snowflake SnowPark, and Snowflake Cortex.
- Experience designing scalable, performance and cost-optimized AI/ML solutions, container-based/Kubernetes deployments, and GPU compute infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of AI and hands-on experience deploying and hosting large foundational models.
- Experience with LLM architecture (e.g. transformers, GANs, VAEs), fine-tuning, augmented retrieval generation techniques, vector database techniques, and semantic search techniques and tools.
- Experience writing robust and efficient code in Python.
- Experience using deep learning related tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangChain.
- Experience designing and implementing key MLOps capabilities and frameworks.
- Knowledge of developing and integrating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) especially related to serving ML models.
- Knowledge of building integrated solutions with the organization to provide comprehensive solutions.
- Skills in managing senior stakeholders and collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to bring teams together and lead technical programs to success by applying training, facilitation, stakeholder management, and expectations management capabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
It is preferable to have:
- Advanced degrees in computer science, data science, or equivalent.
- Professional certification in artificial intelligence/machine learning technologies and cloud platforms.
- Distinctive thinking, deep experience, and collaborative work.
