Aramex is offering a job opportunity in Doha – Qatar, as it is looking for a Freight Operations Leader. Who will ensure the freight operations are running efficiently and effectively guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Duties & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the relationship with suppliers (airlines, ocean lines, trucking suppliers, packing companies) for proper handling and competitive costing.
- Monitor the recovery and update for both export and import shipments on the FTS to ensure passing country freight audit.
- Ensure the freight market is always updated with the latest valid Air Export rates, local origin charges and local destination charges.
- Follow up with carriers to ensure shipments are received or dispatched as per set schedule.
- Daily follow-up with the operations team at the related various gateways (airports, sea ports, land borders) to ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are recovered and delivered to the carriers in accordance to quality policies and procedures.
- Coordinate between the CMT and Brokerage teams on the status of the shipment’s under clearance.
- Daily follow-up to ensure all quality policies and procedures are implemented.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in business or any other related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- At least 2 - 3 years’ experience, preferably in Freight Operation.
- Fluent in English & Arabic. Additional language a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
