Job Description:-
- As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will play a key role in understanding the needs of the customers and help shape the future of businesses of all sizes and use technology to connect with customers, employees and partners.
- As the Venture Capital Business Development Lead, you will be creating, instrumenting, and driving strategic partnerships for Google Cloud in the venture capital segment. Specifically, you will set the partnership vision and strategy, develop strategic relationships and deliver the resulting partner-enabled business growth outcomes for a set of priority VC firms.
- The Venture Capital Business Development Lead works with the designated VC firms and their associated operating companies and majority start-up investments to drive customer success, adoption, and business growth with these VC partners.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional peers to develop a highly aligned go-to-market strategy for the priority VCs and their representative operating companies and other investments. Additionally, you'll work closely with the designated industry teams, product teams, Sales, and Partner Management teams.

Duties & responsibilities
- Lead Google Cloud’s partnerships efforts within your designated portfolio of VC firms.
- Develop the overall partner ecosystem strategy and partner-specific strategies for establishing and expanding key VC relationships.
- Serve as the Google Cloud counterpart to executive leadership at strategic VC firms by representing the Canadian sales and partner organization, developing and setting shared partnership vision and successfully developing and negotiating long-term partnership agreements and supporting individual agreements within their portfolios.
- Engage the assigned portfolio of VC firms to drive pipeline and business growth opportunities for Google Cloud.
Eligibility criteria
- Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working with technology and services companies.
- 5 years of experience in partnerships, sales, and/or business development roles with C-level stakeholder management.
- Experience working with field sales teams, marketing, services, and program operations
- Experience in managing relationships with cross-functional teams internally and externally, and with executives
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in public cloud solutions across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS markets.
- Consulting or Venture Capital experience.
- Ability to form working relationships across technical and business functions in multiple companies.
- Financial analysis skills, with the ability to create compelling ROI value propositions.
