Intuit is offering a job opportunity in Canada: Software Developer.
Duties & responsibilities
- Understand and identify of customer problems and unique scenarios, blocking them from leveraging Intuit core technology capabilities and developing the solution
- Partners with product management in customer sync up sessions to understand current usage and feature gaps across multiple platforms and products
- Acting as the technical subject matter expert: Mentoring fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problems
- Successful delivery of high quality software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
- Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
- Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
- Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
Eligibility criteria
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Strong expertise in modern cloud infrastructure technologies
- Strong leadership experience: Leading meetings, presenting.
- Expertise with any of the following Object Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE, C#, VB.NET, Python, or sometimes C++.
- Expertise with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 3+ years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in the Software design/architecture process.
- Business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
