Opportunity description

PwC is offering a job opportunity as an Accounts receivables allocation officer (12 Months) Contract in Beirut, Lebanon.

Duties & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Resolution of disputes regarding post-dated cheques and coordination with business.
  • Supervision of all accounting and transactions on a monthly basis
  • Supervision of wire transfer transactions to ensure a smooth process
  • Provision of information around unallocated receipts to the business
  • Provide information and analysis around cash collection to management
  • Supervision of complex banking transactions ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure effective cash management by legal entity
  • Ensuring all transactions are proactively maintained in a systematic manner without errors
  • Management of other cash management tasks
  • Providing deliverables for and responding to queries from internal and external audit

Financial:

  • Responsible for supporting the daily finance tasks arising locally in country including country finance processing requirements
  • Supporting the finance senior officer and manager providing task management as required
  • Ensure all country finance matters are addressed and promptly responded to Customer Support the on-time and accurate payment of vendors      
  • Support the monthly closing of accounts and finalizing monthly

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely manner

Internal Process

  • Prepare standardised reports or summaries, and other documentation required for the Accounts Payable function
  • Adhere to policies and procedures
  • Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the business, building cross- functional relationships as needed

Eligibility criteria

  • Education: College level education with a focus in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Language Fluency in spoken and written English with excellent communication skills, proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
  • Overall Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Technical Skills
  1. Strong financial, analytical and accounting skills
  2. Good level of accuracy to a high level of detail
  3. Good calculation and analytical skills
  4. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  5. Knowledge of Sage X3 Accounting system is a plus
  • Soft Skills
  1. Good organisation and office management skills to ensure coverage of workload
  2. Organization, thoroughness, eye for detail, time management skills and proactivity needed
