Saudi Aramco has opened applications for a full-time Information System Consultant position based in Saudi Arabia.

The selected candidate will join the Computer Operations Department, which is responsible for developing and operating computing solutions, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence technologies that support Aramco’s operations and digital transformation.

The consultant will serve as a technical and strategic expert supporting the design and implementation of advanced initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Quantum Computing, and Edge Computing. The role also includes developing digital infrastructure and ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives, security requirements, and governance standards.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Providing advanced strategic consulting in Cloud, HPC, AI, Quantum Computing, and emerging technologies.
• Contributing to the development of a company-wide roadmap for adopting modern technologies.
• Developing strategies for the use of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, edge computing, and quantum computing.
• Collaborating with senior leadership, technical experts, and partners from industry, universities, and research institutions.
• Connecting business units, technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure that digital projects align with the company’s objectives.
• Researching and evaluating new technologies and developing prototypes to assess their feasibility and potential impact.
• Evaluating and optimizing AI infrastructure, such as NVIDIA AI SuperPod, in terms of performance, scalability, and cost.
• Leading digital infrastructure procurement strategies, including hardware, storage, and cloud solutions.
• Designing secure, scalable, and high-performance systems and network architectures.
• Leading Cloud Adoption programmes in accordance with best practices in security, governance, and architecture.
• Developing Hybrid Cloud and Edge Computing strategies to improve flexibility and operational efficiency.
• Contributing to the development of robust Data Governance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and AI-readiness standards.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science.
• Information Technology.
• Engineering.
• Or a closely related technical field.

A Master’s or PhD degree in a relevant field is preferred, particularly in:

• Digital Innovation.
• Artificial Intelligence.
• Quantum Computing.
• Enterprise Architecture.

Applicants must also have:

• At least 15 years of professional experience in:
  • Digital Transformation.
  • IT Strategy.
  • Enterprise Architecture.
  • Or a related technical field.
• Practical and strategic experience in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.
• A proven track record of leading complex digital transformation projects and delivering measurable business results.
• The ability to work and coordinate with C-Level Executives, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning, including:
  • Deep Learning.
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • AI Infrastructure Optimization.
• Knowledge of quantum computing principles and technologies and their potential applications in enterprise environments.

The following certifications are considered a strong advantage:

• TOGAF
• Zachman Certification
• SANS GCIA
• Or equivalent certifications in Enterprise Architecture or cybersecurity.
