Opportunity description
Amazon is looking for an experienced sales excellence instructor to deliver training and enablement for strategic programs across the APJ commercial field organisation. This role is specifically aligned to accelerating sales excellence and field productivity through the development and delivery of enablement programs that improve field capability, awareness and knowledge on AWS operating models, sales methodologies, sales processes, business mechanisms and sales tools. These programs aim to increase the effectiveness of day to day business execution, opportunity and account planning, cross team (One Team) collaboration to accelerate successful customer engagements and customer outcomes. Key programs in scope include account planning, opportunity planning, operating models, sales process, pipeline management & forecasting, sales compensation, pricing, revenue & reporting, as well as programs aligned to global tool and process launches, and local productivity initiatives.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Deliver training courses which incorporate AWS’s strategy, mission and technology with the operating models, cadences and planning mechanisms.
- Participate in the design of sales excellence programs.
- Conduct employee training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, including classroom-based learning and virtual learning.
- Create an engaging learner experience in each training class with various training strategies.
- Work with key vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective training content.
- Assist in the development and execution of Train-the-Trainer programs (when required).
- Gather, analyze and incorporate feedback on training content and methodology to improve training over time.
- Provide content and class feedback to course developers to raise bar on curriculum quality.
- Dive deep into underlying concepts, mechanisms, processes and programs as required, to build own knowledge and credibility with training participants.
- This job is located in Singapore or Australia.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- 7 years+ of experience in delivering business focused & technology related training either in a formal training / capability role or as part of a sales enablment or similar function.
- 7 years + of Experience delivering programs aligned to sales methodology, sales process and business management.
- Familiarity with key sales tools like CRM (e.g. Salesforce.com), reporting (e.g. Tableau), prospecting (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator), skills such as digital selling, and sales methodologies.
- Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills.
- A keen interest in effective sales planning and execution, including programs, processes and technology, and the ability to dive deep to understand day to day application.
- Ability to translate technical or complex concepts for a non-technical (sales) audience.
- A strong “stage presence” and ability to engage and manage a classroom of adult learners.
- Be self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training projects.
- Business degree (i.e. MBA) or relevant work experience.
- Ability to travel throughout APAC, travel requirements will be approx. 40% of time.
It's preferred to have:
- Sales experience, especially in the technology industry.
- Primary language requirement is English but ability to communicate in Korean is an advantage.
- Understanding of cloud and distributed computing concepts, and experience conducting training on these Knowledge of both business and technical personas involved in cloud computing purchasing and adoption decisions.
- Experience with learning management systems and e-learning development tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company.
