Disney is offering a Job Opportunity in Canada: Systems Administrator.
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of all software for Windows, Mac and Linux systems
- Monitoring and maintaining all license servers and coordination of upgrades and repairs
- Be responsible for software provisioning and auditing for adherence to annual budget tracking for all Lucasfilm and ILM department budgets
- Troubleshoot, track and resolve issues involving software and licenses
- Act as a contact for all external vendors in the purchasing, planning and installation of 2D and 3D third party software applications
- Produce utilization reports and trend license and hardware usage for budget planning purposes
- Document all software installations for both internal needs and end users when required
- Participate in periodic off-hours maintenance, incl. performing upgrades, installations, etc.
Eligibility criteria
- Professional and friendly service-oriented demeanor with co-workers and customers
- Self-motivated and energetic team player who can work alongside others to maximize team performance
- Attention to detail is a must, with a curious mindset and a love for organizing large data sets
- Excel or Google Workspace proficiency is a must
- BS/CS or 2+ years experience with Linux and Windows is required (macOS is a plus) including systems administration, OS support, and scripting
- Vendor management at an enterprise level is a plus
- Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/NIS is a plus
- Experience with SAML cloud services, including Okta, is a plus
- Experience with large scale multiprocessing hardware and software systems
- ITIL or similar certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Decisive with solid problem solving and organizational skills
- Proactive and willing to complete unassigned tasks and take on tasks beyond job scope
- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation
