Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) offers a job opportunity in Jordan as a Communications Specialist. You will act as the project’s focal point in terms of internal communication between the project’s departments and externally, with USAID, beneficiaries, and the media. You will support the MEL and Communications Lead in the development and implementation of communications on various platforms, including the communications strategy for MSP.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assist in the development of the MSP communications strategy.
- Assist in the development of digital/social media campaigns.
- Help manage the MSP website and social media accounts, including drafting of social media posts.
- Contribute to and edit MSP fact sheets, brochures, success stories, infographics, and other materials.
- Interview MSP beneficiaries and write success stories.
- Translate key communication documents into Arabic or English, as needed.
- Ensure that the project’s activities, events, and training are properly photographed, organized, and well maintained.
- Support the MEL and Communications lead in preparing, writing, and editing donor quarterly and annual reports.
- Assist in the design and delivery of staff and partner training on communications and marketing.
- Participate in training and other capacity-building activities organized in collaboration with the MEL and Communications Lead.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 4 years of experience in strategic communications, advertising, event planning, media, logistics, and marketing campaign management for local, regional, and international businesses or projects.
- Experience creating social media content and a solid understanding of social media analytics (Twitter, Facebook).
- Experience conducting interviews and writing success stories that showcase project milestones.
- Experience writing reports and producing visual presentations.
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
