Opportunity description

Oxfam offers a job opportunity in Jordan as an HR Assistant. You will provide human resources support, to enhance the organization’s performance through the people.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources management.
  • Experience of at least one year in human resources management.
  • Experience in working in INGOs.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Pleasant personality, good communication skills and possess the ability to work in difficult circumstances.
  • Be detailed-oriented and have good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a member of a diverse team.
  • Commitment to gender equality, diversity issues, and principles of equal opportunities.

It's preferred to:

  • Be familiar with IBVs (Incentive-based Volunteers) recruitment processes.
  • Overcomes challenges, despite hurdles, and resolves challenges consistent with Oxfam's values and ways of working.
  • Experience in HR-specific tasks such as handling Social Security, Tax, etc.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Ability to use available technology appropriate to your own role.
  • Proactively shares your own know-how with other colleagues.
