Opportunity description

Aramex offers a job opportunity in Jordan as an internal audit.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Propose and plan for financial/operational audit assignments in coordination with the line manager.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiencies of current financial/operational controls.
  • Knowledge of financial/operational risks and ability to propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate financial impact on other related functions (i.e. operations) and to communicate highlight potential risk and opportunity.
  • Ability to learn internal audit risk assessment and evaluation.
  • Prepare and present financial reports of audit findings and recommendations to the line manager.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to maintain and improve the financial audit methodology.
  • Assist senior auditors in conducting financial control audits and ensuring presence and functionality.
  • Ensuring compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards “IFRS”.
  • Perform related work as assigned by the internal audit managers and senior internal auditors.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or fields relevant to audits. Professional certification is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar auditing position with extensive knowledge in internal audit standards.  .
  • Excellent reporting skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking, time management, decision making and multitasking skills.
