Opportunity description

SITA is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Senior Administrative Assistant in Amman, Jordan, who will lead preparation for staff calls, newsletters, and own overall communication to teams, and updates on the critical activities managed by Global Operations, and will be gathering information from diverse sources; composing non-routine reports; updating & maintaining records.  

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Provide administrative & communications support to VP Global Ops for efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
  2. Engage with SITA Comms & Marketing team to create and embed a new way of managing communication scope for Global Operations to enable transparent and relevant messaging, promote visibility, and drive even better collaboration for this team of great people spread out across the world. 
  3. Instrumental in developing and implementing internal marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and celebrating successes & achievements. 
  4. Define key performance indicators for each communications channel to monitor a level of success.
  5. Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the SITA’s brand, including white papers, webpages, and more.
  6. Produce quarterly internal newsletter.
  7. Help prepare all staff call presentations (key messages and admin elements such as preparing slides, staff awards, and recognition).
  8. Provide support to the team in creating Purchase Orders process and timely processing of invoices.
  9. Submit timely and accurate reports; meet deadlines, ensure follow through; share status updates; provide viable and innovative solutions to problems.
  10. Proactive problem management to achieve sustainable solutions.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Experience in Communications and Administration.
  2. Solid experience in Major Incident Management Process.
  3. Good experience in Problem Management Practice.
  4. Degree: Bachelors in any stream or equivalent work experience.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
