Opportunity description

Alshaya offers a job opportunity in Kuwait as a Marketing Executive. Responsible for supporting the timely and effective delivery of all marketing programs and initiatives within-host brand and Alshaya guidelines, collaborating closely with colleagues within the Marketing and Communications functions.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assist with strategic planning.
  • Support in producing the annual marketing plan.
  • Ensure brand proposition in Alshaya is integrated into all marketing activity, as defined by host brand.
  • Collect performance information against set targets/measures for all marketing (and media relations activity where no dedicated PR and Social Media resource exists).
  • Analyze new marketing opportunities as they arise (brand extensions, partnerships, etc).
  • Analyzing market research, insight, and database.
  • Collect and maintain a library of consumer, market, and competitor insights.
  • Analyze store and customer care issues to support line manager.
  • Provide appropriate insight and performance reporting to line manager.
  • Support programs for driving the acquisition of customer names.
  • Action database-driven marketing activity (SMS, VIP Invitations) as per marketing plan.
  • Artwork development, advertising, promotions, catalogs, and magazines.
  • Highlight deviations from the agreed plan.
  • Liaise with CMD on the development and production of ATL and BTL materials.
  • Assist with annual plan and timing schedule for catalog/magazine production (Brand-specific).
  • Ensure all content is aligned with Alshaya content guidelines.
  • Implement promotions as per plan or line manager directions.
  • Assess the quality of marketing materials and provide feedback to the line manager.
  • Plan and action distribution of marketing materials as per the calendar.
  • Ensures all marketing spend is approved as per LOA and captured on Oracle (via CMD).
  • Assist with preparation of the brand’s annual advertising media mix (print, radio, online, In-store, Events).
  • Monitor/review campaign delivery - feedback any discrepancy to Line Manager and CMD.
  • Support partnership and events.
  • Identify events in support of the brand's marketing objectives (i.e. fashion show).
  • Implement partner initiatives and events as directed by the line manager.
  • Work with external suppliers where required to ensure events are of appropriate quality.
  • Work with CMD and malls to optimize in-mall presence and promotions.
  • Support media relations/social media initiatives (Only relevant in the absence of PR and Media Relations Executive).
  • Support the creation of the Annual PR Plan (media, social media, CSR) as part of the overall marketing plan.
  • Coordinate with host brand/agency to obtain editorial content press in line with brand / Alshaya guidelines.
  • Adapt host brand copy to the local market as directed by the line manager and clear final copy with Corporate Communications.
  • Contribute brand copy to corporate press releases or website as requested.
  • Distribute approved content to journalists, bloggers, and social media sites, in line with guidelines.
  • Help to stage media events in line with the annual plan.
  • Escalate unusual or contentious queries to the line manager.
  • Prepare analysis of media coverage (traditional and online).
  • Work as part of a harmonious and productive team.
  • Ensure all activity is delivered in line with Alshaya's Vision & Values.
  • Contribute to the sharing of best practices within the brand, division, and across Alshaya.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams and functions to ensure the efficient implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Build and manage professional relationships with external partners.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
  • Assist with category management (Brand Specific).

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • University graduate with relevant qualifications or work experience.
  • From 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role.
