Job Opportunity in Qatar as a Mechanic at Anantara

Anantara offers a job opportunity in Qatar as a Mechanic.

You will be responsible for: 

1. Maintain and updates marine vehicles record system of the resort.
2. Supervises all repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment in a water base vehicle, such as but not limited to speedboat, dive boats, barge, whalers, rowing boat, pontoon boats, dhonis, etc.
3. Attends to repair and maintenance of land based vehicle, such as golf cart, buggy, etc. when requested.
4. Records all service & repair done for boats, vehicles and equipment & keeps log of spare parts used, ensuring proper operation of equipment.
5. Attends to repair and maintenance of power house generators if requested.
6. Attends to machinery maintenance requests when instructed to do so.
7. Carry out Preventive Maintenance program.
8. Carry out electric arc welding and oxy-acetylene welding if capable & is needed.
9. Carry out minor fabrication work and metal work when required.
10. Advice improvements to the present system in order to optimize the operating efficiency and economy of the said system.
11. Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance programs.
12. Ensures implementation of Anantara policies, standards and procedures in relation to Engineering.
13. Ensure execution of Maintenance Requests and give feedback to requesting department when job is done.
14. Assist in the daily scheduling & weekly forecasting of all marine maintenance work.
15. Participates in conducting Fire Prevention Training Programs.
16. Supports and initiates programs for the improvement in procedures and the reduction of engineering costs.
17. Maintain records of all-important information pertaining to operation of marine vehicles and Engineering staff on assigned duty.
18. Ensure that the engineering services comply with established standard and quality.
19. Assist storekeeper to organize accurate ordering of spare parts.
20. Co-ordinate with Assistant Chief Engineer to follow up daily work if required.
21. Participates with Chief Engineer in review and makes recommendation on the annual Engineering budget.
22. Ensure safety at work for all engineering staff.
23. Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work in the resort premises including new additional/extensions to the resort or any other properties maintained by ANANTARA.
24. Carry out and log marine meter reading on daily basis and reports any discrepancies noticed to the supervisor.
25. Ensure that issued hand tools are kept in proper working order.
26. Records daily work activity on the daily work summary.
27. Attends meeting or training sessions as required by management.
28. Complies with ANANTARA Safety, Fire and Hygiene Policy and Procedures.
29. Complies with Departmental Standards and Procedure (SOP).
30. Participates with ANANTARA Environmental Program.
31. Participates with the resort’s energy conservation program.
32. All jobs or tasks assigned by supervisor or managers regarding engineering work
33. Interacts – cooperates with others in the Engineering Department.
34. Interacts and cooperates with resort contractors as directed.
35. Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.

You must have:

• It's preferred to be a male.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the same field.
• Good English communication skills.
• Good technical skills.
• Pleasing personality.
• Ability to handle pressure at work. 
• Ability to multi-task.
• Good knowledge in MS Office.
