Job Opportunity in the UAE: Assistant Nurse at Al Futtaim

Al Futtaim is offering a job opportunity as an Assistant nurse to assist qualified practitioners in the delivery of high quality and effective clinical and personal care, and to join the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position holder will be responsible to provide and take relevant information from patients, careers or others communicating these with the medical team as required.

1. Support qualified practitioners, as directed, in the provision of high quality care. 
2. Observe patient vital signs using skills and equipment and report any abnormalities to medical team.
3. Deliver patient centered care to meet the needs of the patient and ensure consent is gained before carrying out care.
4. Have knowledge of chronic disease management that encompasses respiratory, cardiac conditions and diabetes.
5. Be aware of safe guarding policies, both local and national, and implement such policies should it become necessary.
6. Provide emergency care to patients as necessary and attend annual resuscitation training.
7. Respond to emergency situations and escalate to medical team, employing techniques in line with scope of practice and associated training as directed and in accordance with Al-Futtaim Health protocols and guidance. 
8. Provides assistance for the patients when required, providing emotional support, ensuring safety, privacy and dignity at all times.

1. Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Nursing.
2. UAE License or Eligibility is preferable.
3. BLS is mandatory.
4. English fluency is mandatory.
5. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
6. Computer Literacy.
7. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Job-Specific Skills:

1. Assessment of patients at out-patients clinics.
2. Assisting Registered Nurses and Physicians at the out-patients clinics.
3. Conducting ECG.
4. Evaluation and Monitoring of vital signs.
5. Infection Control Policy and Procedures.
6. Venepuncture.
7. Intravenous cannulation.
8. Basic Life Support.
9. Conducting Bedside Monitoring of blood sugar.
10. Collecting Urine Samples.
11. Documentation of Patients Medical history and vital signs.
12. Computer Literacy.
