Job Opportunity in UAE as a Field Service Engineer-Drive

ABB offers a job opportunity in UAE as a Field Service Engineer-Drive.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently.
• Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
• Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
• Identifying opportunities for the development of new service applications, equipment and methods.
• Frequent domestic travelling will be required, as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites. Very punctual international travelling might also be required for training purposes or special customers.

You must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing drives for all types of industries and applications.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives technology, industrial communications (Profibus, Ethernet, Modbus, industrial routers, cloud-based services, etc.) and remote monitoring and remote support systems.
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility and quick adaption to frequent scheduling updates. Only on specific and pre-fixed schedule, availability to work during weekends and public holidays to provide 24/7 support.Up to 70% travel required.
• Current car driving license (type B).
