Job Opportunity in UAE as a Financial Controller

TASC announces a job opportunity in UAE as a Financial Controller.

You will be responsible for:

• Observe and ensure the proper functioning of the accounting department.
• Drive the company’s financial planning and financial strategy (“FP&A”).
• Preparation of commercial reports when required to assist local and Group management in operational decision making.
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting relevant information.
• Manage cash flow and ensure it is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
• Negotiating with banks for credit facilities, orders, letter of credit and other banking products.
• Accounts receivable management, follow up and reconciliation of accounts.
• Accounts payable management, on time payments along with stock status update for the relevant payments.
• Maintain good vendor relationships.
• Assist commercial team on stock investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
• Payroll processing and WPS compliance.
• Train, educate, and make sure the accounting team is well equipped with up-to-date knowledge and requirements of laws, IFRS and accounting procedures.
• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors and provide audit support along with preparation and submission of relevant schedules.
• Preparation of the Financial Statements for presentation to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting.
• Establishing and disseminating up to date information to the accounting team to make sure the relevant regulatory requirements are fulfilled on timely basis.
• Make sure all the data/records are kept updated in line with federal tax authority and other regulatory bodies rules & requirement.
• Compliance and preparation of reports and submission as required by regulatory authorities - ESR, ICV certifications.

You must have:

• Proven experience as Financial Controller, Head of Finance or relevant role.
• MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Certified Public Accountant certification or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a finance role in the UAE.
• Experience in a senior management position.
• Solid IFRS and financial reporting technical skills.
• International Group reporting experience would be beneficial.

Skills/requirements

• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software and ERP systems.
• Ability to strategize and solve problems.
• Ability to lead and mentor a small finance team.

Personal Attributes:

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization, including non-finance staff, and with staff at remote locations.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
• The ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Benefits:

• Salary: AED 35,000 - 40,000 + bonus
