Opportunity description

Al Futtaim offers a job opportunity in UAE as a procurement manager. You will manage the FM services vertical within the group procurement and sourcing. Attend meetings with the internal customer/ stakeholders/ key vendors and provide necessary feedback during the discussion on procurement issues as well as provide strategic direction to the procurement staff. You will review and update the progress of works and provide support to satisfactorily complete the sourcing projects as well as monitor the delivery deadlines and intervene when necessary. You will approve the purchase request/ purchase order or recommends for approval to the senior management.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Deliver cost efficiency & more value for money and negotiate overall savings in the range of 5%-10%, negotiate on non-financial parameters such as payment terms, warranty, etc.
  • Source new and manage competitive vendors.
  • Ensure operational efficiency.
  • Effective internal customer relationship management and timely & professional communication with the team & business peers
  • Creating a level playing field.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  1. Full-time bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  2. Any procurement or finance certification is an added value.
  3. Minimum 5 years experience in procurement with a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements across the GCC markets.
  4. Previous hands-on experience in dealing with vendors (quotations, payments, reconciliations).
  5. Hands-on experience of store construction & fit-out, furniture & finishes.
  6. Good at networking.
  7. High organizational skills and good business instincts.
  8. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Flexibility towards work demand, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking & ability to work under pressure.
  10. Intermediate to high-level skill on MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Presentations. 
  11. Strong verbal and written English communication.
  12. Arabic or other languages such as Hindi/ Urdu are an added value.
  13. Negotiations skills.
  14. Stakeholder management skills.
  15. Good analytical skills.
