Opportunity description

TASC offers a job opportunity in UAE as a Retail Operations Lead. You will provide support and monitor the operations of the Retail stores and maintain relationships with partners; suppliers and manage the operations of the business.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the profitability of Retail by achieving company sales objective, service goals & overall financial targets – as well as controlling costs.
  • Review daily trading and take corrective action & drive achievement of top line Sales for the region in line with the business plan as well as driving high margin categories to maximize profitability.
  • KPI management including conversion, ATV, UPT and attachment ratios.
  • Improve profitability of stores by focusing on controllable operational costs (including staffing mix). 

Operational Efficiency:

  • Manage in-store customer Service and drive consistency across the region.
  • Manage Shrink, audit, and stock take / stock counting processes.
  • Study Shopping patterns, customer data and provide actionable insights.
  • Staff training and development.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Store/Back office in compliance with regulations and law governing business operations.
  • Provides continuous support to the product Logistics, Inventory, Store Services and Loss Prevention functions.
  • Regularly and systematically evaluate results of overall operations and report them to the Retail Head.
  • Set the expectation, standard and example for customer service across all stores to achieve a high customer satisfaction level.
  • Prepare an annual budget and business plan for the Store/Back office according to budget instructions.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  1. 5+ years exp. in Retail.
  2. Proven work experience in Retail Operations.
  3. Hands-on leader with people management.
  4. The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Flexible with strong work ethic.
  6. The ability to coach and train the team members.
  7. Strong communication skills, written and oral.
  8. Analytical – ability to analyze data and form action plans.
  9. Innovator – ability to think ‘outside of the box’ in a fast-paced retail environment.
