Jumeirah Group offers a job opportunity in UAE as an Assistant Manager in Accounting and Finance at Mina A' Salam Hotel. Your duty is to perform all duties as designated by the director of finance and be able to carry out the functions of the department during his/her absence.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assist in all stages leading to the preparation of all monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide management with timely financial analysis for effective decision-making.
- Perform professional accounting duties to maintain control over expenses, income, and other financial transactions of the cluster.
- Assist the finance director in coordinating the preparation of the annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Assist finance director in monitoring and controlling departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget.
- Cooperates coordinates and communicates with other departments in matters concerning accounting-related matters and internal control.
- Set guidelines and deadline dates for each employee’s monthly work in order to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Maintain standard operating procedures in all aspects of day-to-day work in order to provide uniformity of work and meet departmental objectives.
- Schedule & organize monthly training for all Finance Colleagues in-order to make them competent in their work.
- Monitor & evaluate all the tasks carried out by the Finance Executive and Finance Assistants in-order to have accuracy in the Financial Reports.
- Ensure that an organized, up-to-date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records.
- Deputize for the Finance Manager during his/her absence and to be fully acquainted with his/her Job Description to carry out those responsibilities.
- Perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Degree in Finance & Accounting/Commerce/Mathematics/Economics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Finance & Accounting administration processes and policies in the Middle East.
- High level of written and verbal business English.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of Opera, Micros, HFM.
