Alfuttaim offers a job opportunity in UAE as an Interior Design Planner. You must have the ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills as well as generate, visualize and present new ideas. You must be able to work together with others in a team and confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations. You are flexible, hands-on approach to responsibilities and able to meet set deadlines.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Regional Support:

  • Actively support the Expansion Interior design manager in implementing the country business plan and the country Com & In BP plan to support the optimization of sales and the long-term growth in the company's new to build stores.
  • Support the stores to ensure the uniqueness of the IKEA Brand identity in range presentation and store communication in order to distance the company from the competition. Taking ownership for how the company is working with interior design in the country.
  • Develop the store layout and support the stores to ensure it is used to create optimal visual impact, a good overview and supports the commercial priorities.
  • Working with SO Com & In colleagues, SO Expansion team, Sales leaders, In-store Logistics and other SO functions to agree on the company's national priorities. Together developing solutions that present and communicate the IKEA product range in a way that reflects its width and depth and strengthens its low-price profile on all levels and meet local market needs.

Store Support (New Stores):

  • Analyze the IKEA Customer Satisfaction survey (ICSS), IKEA Brand Capital and other visitor feedback and use these insights to work with the store Com & In teams to improve the experience of the visitors and convert them into satisfied customers.
  • Work with the SO Com & In colleagues and other SO functions to provide the specific, relevant support which enables the stores and other IKEA units.
  • Working with the Expansion graphic communication specialist and Expansion visual merchandiser specialist to ensure consistency in how the company communicates throughout its new stores.

Coaching

  • Sharing good ideas and coaching interior designers in new stores to improve their competence.
  • Work with manuals, global directions and tools within your area of responsibility. 

Projects:

  • Coordinate with the regional expansion plans whenever necessary including commercial planning, build up and opening phases.
  • Supporting with current ways of working and business practices.
  • Able to prioritize workload effectively and work under challenging environment. 

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  1. Live and share the IKEA values every day.
  2. Degree in Interior Design.
  3. 5 years of retail interior design experience, IKEA experience is highly preferred.
  4. Good knowledge of the IKEA Concept..
  5. Proven ability to visualize, design and communicate home furnishing and retail solutions.
  6. Has thorough knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Communication & Interior Design department.
  7. Understands customer buying behavior and buying decisions.
  8. Knows the competition on the local market. 
  9. Excellent Computer skills in AutoCAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office.
  10. Presentation skills & Business Acumen.
  11. Time management and basic administration skills.
