Opportunity description

Walt Disney offers a job opportunity in USA as a marketing coordinator. You will assist the sports marketing manager and associate manager in the development of overall consumer marketing and advertising strategies for ESPN NFL sports properties, specifically focused on the NFL on ESPN brand, Monday Night Football, NFL Postseason and NFL draft. You will provide support in the strategy development and execution and implementation of various marketing campaigns, inclusive of TV, radio, digital, experiential, and social media. In addition, you will be a key liaison between the consumer marketing team, creative agencies, and the broader ESPN cross-functional team. This role will be a 32-week project hire and it is benefit eligible.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Short & long term marketing deliverables, inclusive of the following duties:

  • Managing alignment of consumer marketing & brand strategies.
  • Managing all creative deliverables and timelines to ensure work is finished, delivered, and trafficked on time (and on budget).
  • Owning the relationship and production timelines with the internal and external creative teams.
  • Ensuring accuracy and excellence of all work done internally and by creative agencies.
  • Managing budget and project-to-project spending on NFL.

You will assist the manager with the day-to-day management of the properties which includes:

  • Providing input on creative development and execution of marketing materials.
  • Working closely with media on the scheduling and delivery of on and off channel assets.
  • Establishing relationships with key personnel in the marketing department and other business units.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • From 1 to 2 years of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a high profile, high volume portfolio.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized self-starter.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the sport.
  • Strong analytical skills and active mind.
  • Knowledge and an interest in the evolving media landscape and media consumption habits.
  • A healthy appreciation of the role sports play in pop culture.
  • Impressive verbal and written skills.
  • Positive energy with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Hunger for learning & making a difference.
