Al Futtaim Group is looking for a talented Painter to join the team and work in Qatar, where he/she will carry out the preparation of surface (rectified for minor dents) by applying top stopper and then sanding it, manually., apply primer and paint as per paint manufacturers’ information, and restore the finish of old car by carrying out machine compounding and polishing.

1. Preparing, priming and painting surface (rectified for minor dents), rubbing and polishing etc.
2. Carry out all the jobs as per enclosed list for all the franchises and the involved list for all the franchises and the involved models.
3. Carry out jobs to the manufacturer's recommended levels of workmanship and standards and thereby to ensure that corrosion protection and durability of the car body is maintained to the designed standards.
4. Implement all relevant precautions and safety practices while carrying out the various body painting jobs. Use respirator / air fed breathing mask, safety glasses, disposable overalls and gloves, while painting. Ensure that your tools and equipment’s are neat and tidy. Keep the equipment of your section, properly maintained; keep your work area clean and tidy.
5. Aware of the hazards and the risks associated with their work activities.
6. Use and maintain appropriate PPEs supplied to them.
7. Take reasonable care for own health & safety and also take care that his or her acts do not adversely affect the health & safety of others.
8. Ensure quality of job to avoid errors/rework and take actions to resolve customer concerns to improve customer engagement.
9. Comply with company QHSE rules and guidelines and SOPs and report all incidents to the supervisor.
10. Participate in Tool Box Talk meetings and undertake safety awareness trainings as provided by the company.
11. Follow emergency & evacuation procedure of the company.

1. 2 - 3 years of working as a painter in car paint shop.
2. I T I Course in Automobile Engineering, with specialization in car body painting and refinishing.
3. To work as a skilled painter and to have potential to develop his skill further.
4. To comprehend English language, basic Maths and exploded views.
5. To apply new knowledge and concepts, to improve efficiency and workmanship.
6. Preparing, priming and painting surface (rectified for minor dents), rubbing and polishing etc.: Job holder should possess the skills and knowledge to carry out the jobs, as per the attached list.
7. He should be capable to comprehend and apply paint manufacturer's information, on direction for application of, their various products.
8. He should be capable to use conventional paint, spray gun and should have potential to learn about H V L P paint spray gun, respirator, breathing mask, infrared heater etc. He should develop his understanding of, the control and usage of paint spray booth and dryer chamber.
9. He should be efficient in (manual) wet and dry sanding. He should have potential to learn about dust free sanding machine.
10. He should have knowledge of using the compounding and polishing machine. This knowledge and skills should combine to produce a high quality finish.
11. He should have potential to learn about paint mixing technology and painting of plastic parts.
12.  Competent to possess, improve and develop skills, to achieve manufacturer's recommended levels of workmanship and standards.
13. Job holder should have knowledge about relevant safety precautions and safe work practices. He should be fully aware of various tools and equipments used in paint shop. He should have skills and attitude to work in a systematic manner.
14. Capable to understand organisation's C S I objectives and develops the 'customer care' attitude, which should be visible in all the areas of his job.
15. Job holder should be competent to comprehend and learn from paint manufacturer's and vehicle manufacturers’ literature. He should have potential to learn from training courses and job exposure.
