AdColony is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the team and work in Istanbul, Turkey. As a Software Engineer on the Ad Unit team, you will be a key contributor to the user facing and internal services and you will be responsible for working closely with designers, testers, product and account managers to create world-class ad experiences for well-known brands. You will be using the proprietary JavaScript frameworks that are designed for rapid creation of ad units.

1. Work directly with the engineering and design leadership to craft modern JavaScript based web applications.
2. Implement rapid prototypes; solve problems and proactively look for ways to improve the products and platform.
3. Write secure and well-tested front-end code using latest technologies ( Javascript, Node.js , ES6, webpack).
4. Be an effective team player by discussing development methods and solutions to roadblocks with other team members.
5. Enjoy working in a team setting with engineers of varying degrees of experience.
6. Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed and scalability.
7. Understand how your work affects the ongoing operations of an always-on, global service
8. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
9. Develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets
10. Use your strong critical thinking, problem-solving, design and coding skills to make smart engineering decisions

1. BS degree and 2+ years of experience in developing web applications and web services.
2. Experience in building full-stack web applications with Node.js and Express (or equivalent technology).
3. Proficient in Javascript, ES6, Node.js, REST.
4. Solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
5. Solid understanding of modular CSS, browser differences, and CSS preprocessors.
6. Experience with Task Runners such as NPM, Yarn, WebPack, grunt, or gulp and package managers.
7. Experience with React or similar JS framework is a plus.
8. Experience with AWS is a major plus.
9. Experience with Three.js, P5.js, Ml5.js is a plus.
10. Experience with MongoDB is a plus.
11. Knowledge in SDLC and Agile methodologies is required.
12. Experience with modern browser technologies and web performance optimization.
13. A track record of writing clean and scalable code.
14. Good UX and design sensibilities, team player, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and self-motivated.
15. Strong object oriented design and programming skills.
16. Ability to take ownership over everything you ship; you’d never call code “released” until you’re confident it’s correct.
17. Open to work at night shift 4pm-1am.
