mbc is offering a job opportunity in Dubai, AE as a Digital Metadata Content Writer.
Duties & responsibilities
- Create and translate English and Arabic synopses into French on Shahid’s monthly plan, generic and episodic for all programs, movies, and shows (Shahid and TV shared content)
- Ensure all synopses are strictly kept to 175 characters to serve all platforms
- Create and translate long synopses (more info section)
- QC (edit) French synopses written for Shahid's monthly plan
- Write and QC all translations and transliterations of episode names
- QC all other descriptive metadata
- Maintain high standards of writing for French synopses, while following the writing style with high levels of creativity
- Provide support on synopsis writing for ad-hoc requests when necessary
- Deliver digital metadata on time and prior to the release date
- Insertion of all completed metadata onto the backend system
- Fluency in Arabic, English and French is required
Eligibility criteria
- Excellent content writing and communication skills
- A passion for movie, drama and entertainment is desired.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in content writing preferred
- Experience in the media & entertainment industry relating to one or more of the following areas - metadata management, digital video and audio, asset management systems/platforms, multimedia formats
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task under shifting deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, team player who is results-oriented
- Excellent in translating between English or Arabic to French
- Excellent in summarizing French synopses
- Articulate, organize and enthusiastic with a keen interest in content writing
- Ability to work well within a team
- Fluent in French and either English or Arabic
- Fluency in all three languages is a plus
