The MEPI (Middle East Partnership Initiative) Student Leaders Program offers promising young leaders from the MENA region an immersive, six-week academic exchange in the United States. This program focuses on civic engagement, social responsibility, and leadership development, providing students with skills to contribute positively to their communities. Participants engage in classes, workshops, community service projects, and site visits to expand their understanding of democracy, human rights, and collaborative community-building.
Eligibility:
Open to undergraduate students, ages 20-24, who are citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank and Gaza, and Yemen. Applicants must hold citizenship in their country of residence (with specific exceptions for Gazan, Lebanese, Syrian, and Yemeni applicants who may reside in other MENA countries). American citizens or U.S. Legal Permanent Residents are not eligible.
Benefits:
Participants receive a fully-funded experience in the U.S., covering airfare, accommodation, health insurance, and program-related costs. They gain hands-on leadership training, cultural exposure, and the chance to connect with fellow young leaders from the region.
