Opportunity description
The METI internship program in Japan is a fully funded training program designed for international students in Japanese companies. The program invites foreign students to apply, and it is offered by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI). Interns will be placed in various companies across Japan, and if selected, you will be informed about the host companies that match your skills and abilities. In 2023, 94 companies hosted 107 interns. The Japan Internship Program (JIP) matches the experiences, skills, and preferences of applicants to host companies, making it one of the best internship programs in Japan. What is METI?
The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) is a ministry of the Government of Japan.
Duties & responsibilities
- Round Trip Airline Tickets.
- Accommodation.
- 3,000 yen per day stipend.
- You will receive electronic devices such as laptops, communication devices, and mobile phones.
- Assistance in obtaining a visa to enter Japan.
- Internship Insurance.
Eligibility criteria
- To Apply for the METI Internship, you must be a citizen of one of these countries.
- You must be proficient in English.
- 18 to 40 years old as of August 1, 2024.
- If you are a student you must be able to show proof that you are studying.
- For Students of University or Graduate School: a letter of recommendation by his/her academic advisor
- For Graduates, a graduation certificate from a university or graduate school.
