Opportunity description
UN offers ajobopportunity for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer, in Amman, Jordan. The MEL Officer will work closely with the MEL Director and the rest of the MEL team to implement TAP's monitoring, evaluation, and learning plan. The MEL Officer will maintain and enhance TAP's database, ensuring timely data entry into both the Creative Global Database (MEDAL) and the Mission’s Performance Management Information System (DevResults).
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Support MEL team in implementing and revising TAP`s monitoring plan.
- Establish electronic data collection processes and standards for the entire project as required to meet monitoring, evaluation, and reporting needs.
- Clean and process datasets of trainees, pre-post tests, evaluation tools, etc.
- Ensure planning and reporting in a timely manner for TAP`s stakeholders.
- Ensure quality of collected data through regular spot checks and verification of data sources.
- Analyze and summarize data and help ensure high-quality reporting for regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Design the participants’ profiles on MEDAL and update them on a regular basis.
- Design TAP`s dashboard on Creative’s MEDAL system.
- Support the MEL team in updating and managing the MEL plan(s), indicator reference sheets, results reporting, data use systems and activities, and the project evaluation strategy.
- Conduct internal Data Quality Assessment (DQA) and keep records for Mission`s DQA.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the research agenda.
- Support MEL Director in drafting the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4 years of general work experience, and 2+ years of specific experience related to monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience working on USAID or similar internationally funded programs.
- Experience in PowerBI is a plus.
- Proficient in English and Arabic for both oral and written communication.
