World Food Programme is offering a Paid Internship Opportunity in Lebanon: Human Resources Management.
Internship Duration:
The internship will be for the period of 8 months from 1 June 2023
Duties & responsibilities
- Facilitate the administrative arrangements of training and learning solutions, which includes collecting participant nominations, scheduling virtual sessions, communicating of program details.
- Providing support for the seamless execution of classroom and virtual events.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely updates of data related to the delivery of learning initiatives.
- Ensure that the visualization of data in the form of presentations and dashboards is readily available for reference.
- Advocate learning resources and initiatives to WFP personnel to bolster both their technical and non-technical competencies.
- Proactively seek out innovative knowledge and industry good practices to ensure CO employees have access to the latest learning and development solutions.
- Execute other duties that are in line with the WFP operation.
Eligibility criteria
- This position is open to qualified Lebanese candidates only.
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme from a recognised university and have completed at least two years of the programme. Candidates should have attended classes in the past 12 months
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (for example, a master’s degree) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the past 12 months
- Be a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university
- Be fluent in English.
- Fluency in other WFP official and working languages is always an asset and may be an additional
- Be fit to travel to, and work at, the duty station of the internship
- Not be sons, daughters, brothers or sisters of WFP employees
- The Programme will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education
Required Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a university programme, or recently graduated (within the past twelve months) in business management, project management, Human Resource Management or other related thematic.
- The ability to work independently with drive and initiative, seeking appropriate guidance
- Looking to develop key skills and experience in the field of learning and development, project management, with a particular focus on learning technology.
- Self-organise and deliver on deadlines
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds
- A strong teamwork orientation and willingness to contribute ideas for the best team outcomes
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Aptitude in working with technology systems/ Tech-savvy
- Show proactivity in finding the best design approach solutions to complex learning and communication requirements
- Ability to assimilate and incorporate feedback
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Office 365 platform
