Opportunity description

Disney offers a job opportunity and announces its need for enthusiastic Payroll individuals to make a meaningful impact and be part of a dynamic team. You will mainly work to oversee and ensure accurate processing on all UK and Ireland payroll-related issues, ensuring that employees receive correct remuneration on the published pay dates, thereby ensuring that the Company meets its contractual obligations.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Manage the day-to-day workload of assigned payroll in accordance with set timelines to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Comply with all statutory and contractual obligations.
  • All monthly interface files to SAP integrate the Global system accurately and efficiently.
  • Scrutinizing and validating the data with precision.
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payrolls specifically assigned, working with the UK Payroll Analyst at all times.
  • Validate and approve T&A entries (TDS payroll specific).
  • Check and validate all maternity cases, inclusive of specific benefits and pension requirements.
  • Check and validate all tax forms and generic input.
  • Mentor and offer guidance to the payroll administrator and intern in the capacity of a senior member of the team to resolve all escalated payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work with internal partners on any specific payroll issues (i.e. problem solving).
  • Identify any trends or risks to the payroll and introduce improved ways of working.
  • Calculate and Raise manual payments within SAP, where applicable.
  • Calculate more complex cases of overpayments for leavers and reverse and replace the final month's payslip for completeness.
  • Manage General Ledger functions for payroll and ensure correct data is provided to Finance Stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with the Compensation and Benefits team and ensure all benefits are applied correctly.
  • Process Pensions in accordance to specific scheme rules and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Actively participate in all team events such as meetings and training exercises.
  • Manage and coordinate the shared mailboxes and ensure these are kept up to date and escalate/manage any complex queries.
  • Assist with payroll audits and general projects as required.
  • Ensure that Auto Enrolment and RTI requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Participate in the recruitment of Payroll interns and administrators.
  • Ensure Enhanced Holiday Payments are processed accurately in line with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure payroll compliance at all times is adhered to during the monthly payroll process in SAP.
  • Work with GHRO to ensure clean and accurate data held within SAP Experience requirements.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of all payroll legislation e.g. PAYE, Statutory Payments, and budget updates.
  • Previously processed high volume (3000+) payrolls in a comparable organization.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and developing payroll procedures and policies.
  • Ability to identify the Company's areas of potential exposure to risk.
  • Fully compliant with GDPR requirements.
  • Exposure to balance & reconciling and a general understanding of payroll reconciliations following a payroll run.
  • Previous exposure to monthly and annual HMRC returns.
  • Good understanding of Auto Enrolment and RTI procedures.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred.
  • A team player with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge (Pivots and VLookups).
  • Good decision-making skills, within a pressurizing environment.
  • Enjoys and excels in problem-solving and communicates effectively.
  • Flexible approach to work, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Strong focus in customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize accordingly across a multitude of payrolls.
  • Part Payroll qualification preferred but not essential, with a desire to further their career in payroll Competency requirements.
  • Thinks strategically and Drives results.

Note: This role is based in Hammersmith, London 4 days per week.
