The PR & Media Assistant Manager is responsible for enhancing Deloitte's public image and media presence through strategic communication initiatives across the Middle East. This role involves coordinating with PR and media agencies, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting campaigns that reinforce Deloitte's position as a thought leader and trusted advisor.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR and media strategies aligned with Deloitte's business ambitions in the Middle East.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and international media outlets and journalists to ensure positive coverage.

  • Collaborate closely with PR & Media agencies to plan and execute strategic campaigns.

  • Develop, review, and edit press releases, media commentaries, and other communication materials.

  • Coordinate media interviews, speaking engagements, and public relations activities like press conferences.

  • Work with marketing, digital, and internal teams to ensure cohesive communication strategies and integrated campaigns.

  • Monitor media coverage, track PR performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).

  • 4-6 years of experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications, ideally within professional services or consulting.

  • Proven track record of managing media relations and securing high-impact coverage in the Middle East.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.

  • Strong understanding of the Middle Eastern media landscape.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience with media monitoring tools and PR analytics is desirable.
