Qatar Airways is offering a job opportunity in Doha, Qatar as a Category Demand Planning Coordinator – QDFC

1. Support the Demand Planning team by undertaking specific and ad-hoc administrative tasks as required. As well as provide administrative support for planning and replenishment activities for a product area against agreed range plans and to identify and action agreed opportunities in order to optimise sales, stockholding and profit. In this position, the responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
2. Support the Planning team in ensuring that key stakeholders are updated on all replenishment activities up and down the supply stream.
3. Resolve quarantines and locked stock issues by raising orders for agreed suppliers.
4. Action systems maintenance activities like product attribute maintenance as directed by the Planning team to ensure the right products are ordered.
5. Undertake tasks relating to replenishment and stock management, including placing timely purchase orders, reviewing lead time and delivery timeframe with vendors.
6. Communicate and correspond professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders at the appropriate contact level.
7. Prepare well-structured, informative data analysis excel reports as per business needs.
8. Flag and report any risks to stock availability and sales to mitigate loss of sales.
9. Follow-up with other departments to ensure that requests are carried out and activities are coordinated.
10. React and investigate Retail queries and provide recommended action points.
11. Support the team to produce and arrive at commercially acceptable forecasts for vendors to support the sales opportunity of the business
12. Undertake specific and ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
13. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

1. Experience of planning, organising and prioritising
2. Experience of working within high-volume retail – confidence with a large range of stock-keeping unit
3. Strong excel skills with a willingness to develop further
4. Basic experience of demand planning and or merchandising experience, either in a central function or in a retail environment
5. Outstanding communication skills to establish and build successful relationships with all stakeholders.
6. Personal initiative and drive.

Preferred:

• Experience within the travel retail business.
• Experience in multi-site operations or sales management environment.
• Awareness of targets looking for stock optimisation opportunities.
