Qatar Airways Vacancy as a Category Demand Planning Lead Officer

Qatar Airways is offering a job opportunity in Doha, Qatar as a Category Demand Planning Lead Officer. The Category Demand Planning Lead Officer (Qatar Duty Free) will work in conjunction with the category management teams to identify and action all planning, purchasing and replenishment activities and opportunities to optimise sales, stock holding and profit for a specific department/category.

1. Efficiently manage the stock intake and replenishment for either a department or selection of brands in line with set KPIs
2. Forecast and plan in conjunction with the suppliers to ensure maximum availability
3. Manage vendors and articles for a sub-category to own the process end-to-end
4. Management and maintenance of the replenishment systems to optimise stock management
5. Build professional business relationships with procurement, retail, space planning, suppliers and logistics at the appropriate contact level. 
6. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
7. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
8. Utilize forecasting software and exception reporting to reduce forecast error and achieve category forecast accuracy targets
9. Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience required; OR
2. High School Qualification or Diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years relevant experience
3. Job-specific skills & experience:
4. Experience of Planning, organising and prioritising in the Retail/Manufacturing industry
5. Excellent computer literacy – particularly Excel
6. Numerical analytical skills – able to understand and interpret data and drive resolution of critical problems, while under pressure
7. Commincation skills – able to summarize information and present to leadership
8. Administration skills – able to pay good attention to details
9. Personal initiative and drive
10. Some experience of merchandising/replenishment systems - ideally Microsoft AX, SAP or Oracle
11. Experience of working within high-volume retail – able to work with a large range of SKUs.
12. Experienced in using planning software and data systems.
13. Proven experience in forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and working with replenishment systems.
14. Outstanding communication skills to establish and build successful relationships with all stakeholders
