Opportunity description

The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research (Al Qasimi Foundation) is a non-profit organization established in 2009 with royal patronage. It aims to promote social, cultural, and economic development in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The foundation seeks to build local capacity and encourages research and projects that serve the community and foster dialogue and knowledge exchange at both the local and international levels.

This internship program is offered for a period of up to three months and is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as graduates from the past two years. The internship provides the opportunity to work alongside a multinational team in a supportive learning environment, while contributing to real-world projects that serve the local community in Ras Al Khaimah.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Reviewing literature and research materials.
  • Conducting fieldwork, collecting quantitative and qualitative data, and analyzing it.
  • Implementing multimedia projects.
  • Contributing to internal and external report writing.
  • Performing some administrative tasks in support of the foundation’s daily projects.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students, or graduates within the last two years from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in English: A minimum score of TOEFL iBT 85 or IELTS 6.5 if English is not the applicant’s native language.
  • An academic background or studies related to fields such as public policy, education, public health, urban development, economic development, among others. Supporting fields such as public relations, multimedia, or translation are also accepted depending on the foundation’s current project needs.
  • A clear interest in Ras Al Khaimah and the Gulf region in the context of the foundation’s work.
