GEMS Education in the UAE offers a job opportunity for the position of receptionist, which is a local contract position with working hours from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. The key priorities of this position holder will be delivering a positive customer experience during all interactions with existing and potential parents, visitors, staff, and students. Will provide an excellent and memorable customer experience while ensuring that GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering a positive customer experience.
- Providing information to visitors on a full range of topics, and answering phone calls in a courteous manner.
- Maintaining a database of school visitors.
- Work in close relationships with the front of house team, attend staff meetings, and serve on committees as and when required.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- A minimum of 1 years experience in a front of house or customer service role.
- Secretarial and computer skills at a professional level.
- An advanced user of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in an effective, professional and timely manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, and able to multi-task in an efficient manner.
- Ability to manage a high workload at peak times throughout the school day.
- Ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience in all situations.
