Duties & responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of early warning systems related to climate risks and disasters.
- Prepare technical studies and reports on climate resilience and risk management.
- Analyze data and information related to climate crises and early warning systems.
- Coordinate with UNICEF teams, international partners, and government institutions.
- Contribute to developing disaster preparedness and response strategies.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve monitoring and early response systems.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training activities related to the project.
- Support initiatives aimed at protecting children and communities affected by climate change.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must hold an advanced university degree in fields such as climate studies, environmental sciences, disaster management, engineering, geography, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong professional experience in early warning systems, climate resilience, or disaster and risk management is required.
- Experience working with international organizations or humanitarian and development programmes is preferred.
- Strong skills in data analysis and preparing technical and strategic reports.
- Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work remotely and travel when required for field assignments.
