Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Proactively interact with business stakeholders to propose and prioritize process optimizations through digital technology.
  • Communicate business objectives, user needs, and processes, to ensure common understanding and prioritization between stakeholders.
  • Oversee and coordinate the solution delivery within TEC.
  • Report periodically to the portfolio board, Identify and escalate issues/risks that could affect the product outcomes, timeline, or budget. 
  • Communicate clearly and manage stakeholders’ expectations about the projects’ timeline, risks, quality, and costs, keeping them informed of the progress of projects’ IT activities, challenges, and achievements. 
  • Keep track of the consumption of purchased time-and-materials quotas.
  • Provide guidance to vendors concerning the submission of consumption reports and invoices.
  • Assist Product Managers in the development of improvement canvases and product roadmaps within your domain areas.  
  • Assist Product Managers in preparing cost estimates for the identified solutions.   
  • Any other duties as required for the successful delivery of the product or project. 
  • Digital services operating within the defined target KPI values. 
  • A high level of satisfaction among the Stakeholders, IT Solution Architects, and Development Teams in relation to soft skills such as effective communication, conflict management, strategic contributions to product’s success, leadership skills, etc. 
  • Contribution to the improvement of shared processes and tools. 

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

Education:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.  

Experience:

  • Minimum six years of post-graduate experience with product/project management, and a proven track record of planning, leading, and executing related projects. 

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Agile and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of Product and Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to manage budget, resources, and risks and the ability to manage Stakeholders also at senior levels. 

Language:

  • Fluency in oral and written English and intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
