Grand Hyatt is offering a job opportunity as a full-time Sales Executive in Amman, Jordan.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. To ensure that an efficient and accurate filing system, both manual as well as electronically is maintained at all times.
  2. To attend the daily and weekly Sales & Marketing Meeting.
  3. To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and results oriented.
  4. To keep and to safeguard all contracts and financial documents.
  5. To develop in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Associate Director of Sales a structured, timely, achievable personal business plan.
  6. To support staff needs in other Divisions based on the hotel priorities and anticipated business levels.
  7. To maintain complete and supported records of all sales agreements, contract and quotes for the hotel as per Hyatt International Policies & Procedures.
  8. To have a good understanding of contribution margins for each product results and work with respective heads of departments to maximize Operating results.
  9. To achieve targets in terms of number of new active Accounts, Room Nights, Banquet Covers and Revenue as set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  10. To submit monthly entertainment schedule to the Director of Sales & Marketing for approval.
  11. To attend and contribute to all training sessions and meetings as required.
  12. To exercise responsible management and behavior at all times and positively represent the hotel management team and Hyatt.
  13. To handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.


Eligibility criteria


  • High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results.
  • Charismatic leader who can inspire and motivate team.
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums - presentation, telephone; correspondence, face-to-face etc. in English, a 2nd language is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn, grow and further develop own career.
  • High level of common sense and high skill of problem solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Drive for results to outperform competition.
