The Deloitte Innovation Hub (DIH) in Cairo is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join the AI & Data team. The Innovation Hub is a strategic initiative established by Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE) to be the leading business transformation partner across EMEA. The team’s goal is to work together with clients to drive innovation and insights from their data using cutting-edge Data Science, Machine Learning techniques, and Digital Transformation. You will have the autonomy to excel, engage directly with clients, and be part of a collaborative culture that nurtures innovation and knowledge sharing.
Duties & responsibilities
Apply data science and machine learning techniques creatively to solve complex problems and research innovative solutions.
Engage with clients to understand their pain points and effectively communicate solutions back to the client/team.
Collect, clean, and pre-process large datasets, including feature engineering and normalization.
Design, develop, experiment with, and implement machine learning algorithms (optimizing for accuracy and scalability).
Train machine learning models using collected data, perform testing, and evaluate model performance.
Create informative data visualizations using libraries like Matplotlib/Seaborn or software like Tableau/PowerBI.
Participate in all phases of the data science lifecycle from PoC to fully tested productionized solutions.
Assist in crafting responses to client proposal requests and pitching data science projects.
Eligibility criteria
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.
3-7 years of professional experience in Data Science and AI/ML.
Mastery in AI and ML algorithms, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and libraries.
Proficiency in data collection, pre-processing, and analysis.
Proven experience in developing and fine-tuning machine learning models.
Familiarity with deploying ML frameworks in industry is highly desirable.
Natural problem solver who excels in teamwork and acts as a brilliant listener.
Previous experience leading AI/ML initiatives (Project Leadership) is a plus.
