Opportunity description

During your tenure as a Senior Associate at deloitte in M&A transaction services, your role will include supporting engagement teams primarily on financial due diligence engagements, financial reviews, analytical support, and business development activities within the vibrant business landscape of Cairo, Egypt.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Lead the response on specific client and engagement pursuits and proposals.

  • Support industry and market research through research and business development initiatives.

  • Develop information and data request lists to support due diligence processes.

  • Select appropriate methods for collating and analyzing large and complex data sets including financial information and operational metrics.

  • Interpret financial information and articulate insights through calculation of appropriate benchmarks, statistics, and financial ratios.

  • Independently draft sections of the due diligence report for review by senior team members.

  • Process changes to proposals, data analysis, and report documents as requested.

  • Delegate to junior team members where appropriate and manage their performance.

  • Support the client take-on and on-boarding process by liaising with risk and compliance teams.

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable, recognized institution.

  • Strong academic track record with an international accounting qualification preferable (CA, ACCA, or CPA).

  • 4-6 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or investment-related position.

  • Experience working with transaction support, valuation, due diligence, financial re-structuring, or IPOs.

  • Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong commercial acumen around identifying material risks and value drivers in an M&A transaction life cycle.

  • Strong business writing, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Dual English/Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
