Opportunity description

The Deloitte Innovation Hub (DIH) in Cairo is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join the AI & Data consulting group. DIH is a strategic initiative established by Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE) to become the leading business transformation partner for clients across EMEA. In this role, you will work on a diverse range of initiatives and projects across different sectors. You will play a vital part in designing and building robust data solutions, advising clients on appropriate tooling, and supporting large-scale data migrations. Duties & responsibilities

  • Design or build parts of data solutions such as ETL components, data warehouses, reporting solutions, or data virtualization implementations.

  • Work with client stakeholders to design source-to-target mappings for large-scale data migrations.

  • Advise clients on appropriate tooling for specific solutions based on expertise in data technologies.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and support client workshops to capture business or technical requirements for data solutions.

  • Support the development of client bids and present proposals.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training content, reusable assets, playbooks, and industry propositions.

  • Work effectively in diverse, multidisciplinary teams, acting as a translator between business requirements and functional/technical data designs.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must hold a BSc in Computer Engineering or an equivalent degree.

  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and analytics.

  • Problem-solving skills with a logical approach and deep understanding of systems engineering methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Data Migration, MDM, Data Warehousing, and Data Governance.

  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Pentaho) and data governance tools (Informatica MDM/AXON/EDC, Collibra).

  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL).

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Spark or Python, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed processing technologies like Hadoop.
