The company is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Real Estate Auditor to join their audit and assurance team in the UAE. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive audits for real estate development firms, ensuring full compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a key position within one of the world's most prestigious professional services firms, focusing on maintaining financial integrity within the construction and property sectors.

Duties & responsibilities

  • The auditor plans and executes financial statement audits and internal control assessments for real estate developers.

  • The professional evaluates financial records related to land acquisition, construction costs, and revenue recognition.

  • The senior auditor assesses accounting policies including cost capitalization, fair value measurement, and impairment testing.

  • The team member reviews legal documents such as joint ventures and lease agreements to identify potential audit risks.

  • The candidate prepares concise audit reports highlighting findings and providing strategic recommendations for improvement.

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ACA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public auditing, specifically within real estate or construction.

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 40 standards.

  • Proficiency in English; bilingual candidates in Arabic are highly preferred.
