Opportunity description

EY is seeking an ambitious and analytical Strategy Consultant to join their EY-Parthenon Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) practice in Cairo. The successful candidate will advise clients, including private equity firms and government entities, on strategic growth and investment opportunities. They will assess acquisition targets, explore new markets, and evaluate business models through rigorous analysis of market dynamics and competitive positioning.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Conduct customer segmentation, market sizing, and competitor analysis to support strategic recommendations.

  • Evaluate acquisition targets through in-depth assessments of business models, revenue streams, and competitive positioning.

  • Review financial models to identify key assumptions and perform secondary research using various sources.

  • Design interview guides for stakeholders and industry experts.

  • Prepare client-ready outputs, including presentations and reports that synthesize complex data into clear insights.

  • Lead workstreams, coordinate analysis across teams, and guide junior team members depending on the consultant's level.

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university; an MBA or Master's degree from a top-tier business school is highly preferred.

  • 1 to 7 years of prior experience focusing on client advisory within a professional services environment.

  • Strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, with the ability to link business strategy to performance.

  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Absolute fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).

  • Exposure to transactions or due diligence environments, along with experience in market or financial modeling tools such as Tableau.

  • Willingness to travel within the MENA region up to 20% of the time.
