Kalmar Services Supply Chain organization is looking for Logistics Trainees for a summer internship to strengthen its Logistics team during summer. As a Logistics summer trainee your main tasks will be to support the logistics team in the daily operations as well as customer service to the global customers. The position will be based in Tampere, Finland.
Duties & responsibilities
- Organizing material deliveries to and from Kalmar Central warehouses.
- Active communication with Kalmar’s warehouse, logistics service partners, customers and buyers.
- Following up on deliveries to ensure excellent customer service levels.
- Preparing different transportation documents.
- Co-coordinating 3PL (outsourced warehouse) processes for example handling claims and returns.
Eligibility criteria
- Studies in Logistics, International business or similar (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
- Previous working experience in global logistics basic understanding of import and export processes is considered an advantage
- You feel comfortable adopting multiple IT tools. SAP experience is definitely a plus
- In case you also have some data analytics skills, that would be a major bonus for Kalmar.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues in tight schedules
- You have a positive can-do attitude and a customer-service mindset
- Your working style is proactive, independent and flexible
- Your communication style is friendly and fluent. Good English language skills are a must
- Most important is that you are a team player, who is always willing to learn and help the team and the customers succeed.
